Energy efficiency requirements

The conformity assessment according to the requirements of the Technical Regulation of hot-water boilers fired with liquid or gaseous fuels, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 748 dated August 27, 2008, is a mandatory requirement. National standards are used to confirm compliance, that provides a presumption of equipment compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of hot-water boilers fired with liquid or gaseous fuels.

It is necessary to submit an application to the Conformity Assessment Body "TECKO" for carrying out conformity assessment work with the requirements of the Technical Regulation. The technical file is attached in electronic form together with the application in accordance with the List defined by the relevant assessment procedures (modules).  It is necessary to send a completed application with a set of documents on e-mail: info@tecko.com.ua. Information on the Technical Regulation of hot-water boilers fired with liquid or gaseous fuels

The scope of this Technical Regulation applies to new hot-water boilers fired by liquid or gaseous fuels.
As a rule, this Technical Regulation is used simultaneously with the Technical regulation of appliances burning gaseous fuels.

Such modules of conformity assessment and their combination are applied: 

For boilers burning gaseous fuels: Module B (EU type-examination - production type), modules C2, D, E, F, G, defined by clauses 42 and 43 of the Technical Regulations of appliances burning gaseous fuels, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 814 dated July 4, 2018.

For series-produced boilers fired on liquid fuels: Module B (EC type-examination), modules C2, D, E, determined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 13.01.2016 No. 95 "On approval of conformity assessment modules used to develop conformity assessment procedures and rules for using conformity assessment modules".

The manufacturer or his authorized representative carry out the conformity assessment of boilers with the requirements for their energy efficiency coefficient using conformity assessment procedures (modules). The requirements for the value of the energy efficiency coefficient are given in Appendix 2 to the Technical Regulation on ecodesign requirements for space heaters and combined heaters, approved by Resolution of CMU No. 1184 dated 27.12.2019.

Affixing the mark of conformity to technical regulation is mandatory.

The Technical Regulation of ecodesign requirements for space heaters and combination heaters, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1184 dated 27.12.2019 (developed on the basis of Commission Regulation (EU) No 813/2013 of 2 August 2013 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC) entered into force 29.08.2022. This technical regulation supplements the requirements of the general regulation The Technical Regulation of establishing a framework for the setting of ecodesign requirements for energy-related products, harmonizated with the Directive 2009/125/EС, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 804 dated 03.10.2018, which defines requirements for energy energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of various energy-saving products.

The list of national standards that meet European harmonized standards and voluntary application of which can be perceived as proof of compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of hot-water boilers fired with liquid or gaseous fuels, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 748 dated 27.08.2008 (Order of Derzhspozhyvstandart №173 from 29.04.2009).
