Pressure equipment

The conformity assessment according to the requirements of the Technical Regulation of pressure equipment, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 27 dated January 16, 2019, is a mandatory requirement. Pressure equipment shall satisfy the essential safety requirements set out in Annex I of the Technical regulation. National standards are used to confirm compliance, that provides a presumption of equipment compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of pressure equipment.

It is necessary to submit an application to the Conformity Assessment Body "TECKO" for carrying out conformity assessment work with the requirements of the Technical Regulation. The technical file is attached in electronic form together with the application in accordance with the List defined by the relevant assessment procedures (modules).  It is necessary to send a completed application with a set of documents on e-mail: info@tecko.com.ua. Within 1-2 working days, we will definitely contact you to agree on the timing and cost of work.

Similar EU directive Directive 2014/68/EU (PED)

This Technical Regulation should apply to pressure equipment subject to a maximum allowable pressure PS greater than 0,5 bar:

  • gases, liquefied gases, gases dissolved under pressure, vapours and also those liquids whose vapour pressure at the maximum allowable temperature is greater than 0,5 bar above normal atmospheric pressure (1 013 mbar);
  • fired or otherwise heated pressure equipment with the risk of overheating intended for generation of steam or super-heated water at temperatures higher than 110 °C having a volume greater than 2 L, and all pressure cookers;
  • piping intended for gases, liquefied gases, gases dissolved under pressure, vapours and those liquids whose vapour pressure at the maximum allowable temperature is greater than 0,5 bar above normal atmospheric pressure (1 013 mbar);
  • safety and pressure accessories intended for equipment covered above including where such equipment is incorporated into an assembly;
  • assemblies that contain at least one piece of pressure equipment specified above and shall satisfy the essential safety requirements.

The conformity assessment procedures to be applied for the various categories are the following:

Category I - module A;

Category II - modules A2, D1, E1;

Category III - modules В (type examination - design type) in combination with D or F; modules В (type examination - production type) in combination with E or C2; module H;

Category IV - modules В (type examination - production type) in combination with D or F; module H1; module G – unit verification.

Affixing the mark of conformity to technical regulation is mandatory.

The list of national standards that meet European harmonized standards and voluntary application of which can be perceived as proof of compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of Presure equipment (Order of Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine №1200 from 06.08.2019).
