Lifts and safety components for lifts

The conformity assessment according to the requirements of the Technical Regulation of lifts and safety components for lifts, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 438 dated June 21, 2017, is a mandatory requirement. Lifts and safety components for lifts must comply with the essential health and safety requirements set out in Annex 1 to the Technical Regulation. National standards are used to confirm compliance, that provides a presumption of equipment compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of lifts and safety components for lifts.

It is necessary to submit an application to the Conformity Assessment Body "TECKO" for carrying out conformity assessment work with the requirements of the Technical Regulation. The technical file is attached in electronic form together with the application in accordance with the List defined by the relevant assessment procedures (modules). It is necessary to send a completed application with a set of documents on e-mail: info@tecko.com.ua. Within 1-2 working days, we will definitely contact you to agree on the timing and cost of work.

The scope of the Technical Regulation of lifts and safety components for lifts applies to:
- new lifts, permanently serving buildings and constructions and intended for the transport of: persons; persons and goods; goods alone if the carrier is accessible, that is to say a person may enter it without difficulty, and fitted with controls situated inside the carrier or within reach of a person inside the carrier;
- new safety components for lifts listed in Annex III of the Technical Regulation, namely:
1. Devices for locking landing doors.
2. Devices to prevent the car from falling or uncontrolled movements.
3. Overspeed limitation devices.
4. Buffers.
5. Safety devices fitted to jacks of hydraulic power circuits where these are used as devices to prevent falls.
6. Electric safety devices in the form of safety circuits containing electronic components.

Pay attention:
Type of lifts – a representative of the family of lifts, which use identical safety components (if at least one safety component is replaced, the type of lift also changes!).

Conformity assessment procedures should be chosen from among these modules:
- for lifts - modules В; Е, D; Н1, final inspection (Annex 5 of ТR) and their combinations; also modules Н1 and G (G – unit verification).
- for safety components for lifts - modules В, Е, С2 and their combinations, also module Н.

The installer or the manufacturer by means of marking - drawing a mark of conformity to technical regulation, indicates that the lifts or safety component for lifts meets the requirements applicable to such lifts or components and defined in the technical regulation.
Affixing the mark of conformity to technical regulation is mandatory.

The list of national standards that are identical to the harmonized European standards and compliance with which provides a presumption of conformity of equipment to the requirements of the Technical Regulation of lifts and safety components for lifts approved by the Order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine № 68 from 17.01.2019.
